Thee is more to trails than hiking. The Trail Conference is a coalition of 100 clubs and 10,000 individual members dedicated to creation, protecting, and promoting the nations's finest network of trails in a major region.

• Building and conserving trail lands including the Appalachian Trail, the Long Path, the Shawangunk Ridge Trail and the Highlands Trail
• Production of authoritative maps and guidebooks that make excursions more enjoyable
• Training for Volunteers who make the trails safe and accessible
